I only just heard this news - very, very sad indeed. I saw a trailer for a movie with a singing teacher that reminded me of Tona, which lead me to Googling her and finding this memorial website. My mum was an enormous fan of Tona, and arranged singing lessons for me in the late 1990s. Tona introduced me to the music of Jeff Buckley, and ever since then I’ve thought of her every time I hear one of his songs. She was a luminous presence on Wood Vale - where my family lived too. I hope this message finds her family and friends healthy and happy in 2023.

As I uncover different facets of myself, I've also discovered a new depth to my voice. You always insisted it was
there, though I couldn't see it at the time. The pieces are falling into place now, and I recognize the importance
of regular vocal exercises. Thank you for cultivating my gift, instilling trust, and guiding me to share my soul.
